About Our Podiatrists & Staff

Our Northern Michigan Podiatrists received conventional medical training plus special training on the foot, ankle, and lower leg. They have been trained in foot and ankle surgery through hospital residencies, and are experts in delivering care for complex foot disorders suffered by diabetic patients as well as common foot problems including bunions, hammertoes, heel spurs, ingrown toenails, plantar fasciitis (heel pain), and fungal nails. In addition to our highly trained foot & ankle physicians, our office is staffed with devoted personnel who provide the best of care during all phases of your treatment.

Carolyn Ranger - CMA, PMAC

After obtaining her Medical Assistant certification from Ross Medical Education Center, Carolyn accepted a position in a Family Practice clinic. She continued in various positions within the family medical field, acquiring over 24 years of experience. Carolyn joined our practice after working for several years at Mercy Professional Services in Roscommon. She became a certified Podiatric Medical Assistant in 2013, and works diligently at keeping both her Medical Assistant license and PMAC certification up-to-date.

Dawn Brookes - PMAC

Dawn relocated to Northern Lower Michigan to raise her family more than 20 years ago. Before joining our practice in 2010, she was a certified nursing assistant who worked as a home health aide for 3 1/2 years. Dawn earned her certification as a Podiatric Medical Assistant in 2013 and updates her certification annually to stay abreast of all the new practices and advances in Podiatric medicine.

Wayne Bacik
Business Manager

Wayne is originally from Ohio and relocated to this area in 2007. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Corporate Finance and Economics from Hiram College. Wayne has held several progressively responsible positions during his 27 years of employment at Republic Steel and LTV Steel. He joined Ankle & Foot Associates as Office Manager, along with Dr. Tracy Bacik (his daughter), and Dr. Brian Brausa (his son-in-law), prior to the start up of the practice in August 2007.

  Vicki Christian
Administrative Assistant/Billing Coordinator

Vicki received her Associates Degree in Business Administration from Cleary University. She has been previously employed by the VA Medical Center and the University of Michigan Medical Center, both in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she has gained 20+ years of experience in healthcare, and held numerous supervisory positions, before relocating with her family to Northern Lower Michigan. Vicki joined our team in September 2013.
